As the winter nights set in and it gets darker earlier and earlier, spectacle wearers can find driving conditions more difficult - even dangerous. The glare from oncoming headlights and overhead streetlamps can create reflections that reduce vision and put extra strain on your eyes.

Overhead lights cause light to bounce off the back surface of your lenses and into your eyes, which can create ghost images and blurring of objects in your field of view. With uncoated lenses, up to 8% of light never actually reaches your eyes and will end up as reflections on your lenses.
